Generally, you don’t need to activate your SBI credit card for online transactions separately. It is activated at the time of activating the card itself. However, in some cases, the default option of online transactions might be disabled. You can follow any of the below steps to get your SBI credit card activated:

1. Activating Your SBI Credit Card:

  • Online Activation:

- Visit the SBI Card website: https://www.sbicard.com/

- Click on the "First-time User" link.

- Enter your Credit Card number, expiry date, CVV, and date of birth.

- Click on "Proceed" and enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number.

- Set your preferred User ID and Password.

  • Phone Activation:

- Call the SBI Card customer care helpline (number available on the back of your card or the SBI Card website).

- Enter your card details and follow the instructions to activate your card.

2. Verifying Online Transaction Option:

This step depends on the current process of the SBI credit card. It is not always necessary, but it allows you to confirm if your online transactions are activated:

  • Website:

- Login to your SBI Card online account.

- Search for options "Manage Card Usage" or "Transaction Limits."

- You might find these options under a menu named "Account Management" or "Settings."

- You should get an option to enable/disable online transactions (domestic and international).

- If disabled, activate them and set desired limits.

  • Mobile App:

- Download and install the SBI Card app from the App Store or Google Play.

- Log in using your SBI Card online account credentials.

- Look for a section related to "Card Management" or "Transaction Controls."

- Similar to the website, you will find options to enable/disable online transactions and set limits.

Important Notes:

  • Refer to SBI Card for Latest Information: SBI Card's processes might change. It's best to refer to their official website or contact customer care for the most recent information on activating your card and managing online transactions.
  • Customer Care: You can find the SBI Card customer care helpline number on the back of your card or on the SBI Card website.
  • Security: Never share your card details or OTPs with anyone over email, phone calls (unless initiated by you), or messages.

By following these steps, you will be able to activate your SBI Credit Card and enable online transactions.
