The Government of India has introduced a direct transfer scheme, under which the subsidy amount for each gas cylinder will be credited to the customer’s bank account. However, if you are a Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd customer and want to enjoy this benefit, then one will have to link their Aadhaar with BPCL. The Aadhaar can be linked to BPCL through three different ways. They are

  • Link through SMS/IVRS
  • Link through Post
  • Link through a Call centre
  • Link through Online

LPG has developed an Interactive Voice Response System or IVRS for the benefit of BPCL customers so that they can link Aadhaar without any difficulties. Every state has been given different IVRS numbers for their districts along with the instructions to be followed to link the Aadhaar. To get the IVRS number, you need to log in to the official website of BPCL Bharat gas

BPCL Bharat gas http://www.hindustanpetroleum.com/hpanytime If the consumer wants to link Aadhaar via SMS, then they need to register their mobile number first and then send SMS in the format UID Aadhaar card number to 57333 (All India), 52725 (Vodafone, MTNL, Idea, Airtel & Tata users) from the registered mobile number. You can register your mobile number with your distributor.


The Government of India accepts the linking of Aadhaar to BPCL via post as well. For that, you can send the following copies to the relevant BPCL offices by speed post. The documents required are

  • Copy of the Aadhaar letter with your name
  • Your consumer number
  • Mobile number

However, before sending the documents by speed post the consumer has to make sure that they have all the relevant supporting documents such as the blue book or DGCC, the recent delivery receipt, Photocopy of Aadhaar, etc.

For linking Aadhaar to BPCL via online, you can follow the below steps.

  • Visit the official website of Aadhaar which is https://uidai.gov.in/
  • Download the form for linking Aadhaar to BPCL
  • Update it with your details such as address and state
  • Select the benefit under BPCL as LPG
  • Fill in your Aadhaar card number
  • Click the submit button
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number
  • Provide the OTP number for verification
  • Once the OTP is verified, the linking between Aadhaar and BPCL will be complete.

You can submit the form for linking Aadhaar and BPCL through offline as well. For that, you need to download the form from the official website and fill it with your details. Once completed, you can submit it to your BPCL dealer or the nearby BPCL office.
