Stage 1. Generate your SBI Green PIN

  • Insert your SBI debit card in the ATM slot.
  • Select the 'PIN Generation' option.
  • When prompted, input your 11-digit account number using the keypad and click 'Confirm.'
  • Provide your registered mobile number when prompted, and press 'Confirm.'
  • If you have entered the details correctly, the next screen will display a message stating, 'Your Green PIN will be shortly delivered to your registered mobile number'.
  • Press 'Confirm' to receive another message confirming that 'Your Green PIN generation has been successful, and you will receive the same on your mobile number'.
  • Shortly, you will receive a message on your mobile phone containing a One Time Password (OTP), which serves as the Green PIN.

Stage 2. Generate your SBI ATM PIN

After receiving the OTP, remove and re-insert your SBI card, and then follow these steps to generate your actual debit card PIN using the Green PIN:

  • Insert your SBI card into the ATM.
  • Select 'Banking'.
  • Choose your preferred language, which can be English, Hindi, or a regional language based on the available options.
  • Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile on the next screen.
  • Press the 'PIN Change' option.
  • Enter a new four-digit PIN of your choice and confirm it.
  • If the process is successful, you will see a message confirming that 'Your PIN has been changed successfully'.

Your new PIN will now serve as the actual PIN for your SBI ATM card, allowing you to use it for all card transactions, including cash withdrawals, retail purchases, and online transactions.
