Visa has launched CVV-free tokenized transactions for domestic payments in India to make online transactions smoother and safer. This feature will make online transactions quicker, secure, and hassle-free for Visa users. CVV-free tokenization enables customers to make online transactions without having to enter their CVV every time. Merchants and acquirers have to collect the CVV during the initial token provisioning transactions, but they can stop doing so during the ensuing token-based domestic CNP transactions. In tokenisation, the card details of the customer are replaced by a unique code called the token. Due to this, transactions are safer as merchants save only the token and not the card details. The token is authenticated twice, once at the time of tokenisation and then again at the time of putting the OTP, thus making it highly secure for customers to make online transactions.
