ICICI Credit Card holders can now enjoy a 2.5% fuel surcharge waiver on fuel purchases at HPCL gas stations. When the card is swiped on the ICICI Merchant Services swipe machines, a 2.5% fuel surcharge waiver is available on fuel purchases at HPCL petrol pumps. Fuel surcharge waivers are not available for transactions exceeding Rs. 4,000.

A fuel surcharge is a charge levied on your credit card transaction amount. This is usually charged at 2.5% of the fuel purchase amount, which is waived off by credit card companies as an added benefit to credit card holders.
A fuel surcharge waiver is a benefit offered by ICICI Bank to its credit card customers. Under this benefit, ICICI Bank waives off 2.5% of the fuel surcharge levied by petrol pumps on fuel purchases. This benefit is available on specific credit cards issued by ICICI Bank.

This benefit is usually tied up with a fuel company partner and will be applied only if you use your card on the ICICI Merchant Services swiping machine.
The fuel surcharge waiver amount is credited as a cashback to your card account within 10 working days of the transaction.
