In order to be approved for an HDFC credit card, you will need to provide proof of income. This could be either income from a paycheck, pension, or other form of income. If you don’t have any of these documents, you can submit your bank account statement to establish proof of income.

These days, there are many unconventional jobs and not everyone will have a pay slip. They can submit their bank account statement while applying for an HDFC Credit Card.

They may have to submit additional documents to prove their identity and address. For example, they may have to submit a government-issued ID such as a driver’s license, passport, or Aadhaar.

If you are self-employed, you will need to provide your bank statements and IT returns as proof of income. This is to ensure that you are able to repay the credit card debt.  HDFC may ask for additional documents such as your business registration certificate, lease agreement, and utility bills to verify your identity and address.

Not to worry, you can still get an HDFC credit card without an income proof document.

There are even credit cards that are issued based on your FD deposits held with the bank. These are called 'Secure Credit Cards' and are specifically designed for people who don't have a steady income but have enough funds to use a credit card. Contact your branch to find out more about these cards.
