To become a finance manager you should have a Masters degree in financial management, that will be an MBA in finance. There are courses that are specifically meant for financial management: Master of Business Administration (Finance), Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), Master of Financial Control (MFC). After acquiring required qualification, you can apply for a job as a Financial Manager. 

The eligibility criteria for taking these courses will be based on aptitude test, GD and interview. The selection process will depend on the institution that you decide on. Most institutions in India admit students based on marks scored in competitive exams like CAT, MAT and XAT. Some institutions have their own exams for the courses they provide. A financial manager should require excellent communication skills and an analytic approach to work. They should also have commercial and business awareness and have high numeracy and sound technical skills. They should be able to make quick but rational decisions.
