Axis Bank Credit Card Lounge Access List Changed

Axis Bank has brought about a reduction in airport lounge access for its credit card holders. This has been effective from June 1st 2023 and will be valid till August 31, 2025 according to the bank. Earlier, the bank was offering access to both domestic and international terminals. Now, the complimentary access to domestic terminals is limited. 

The bank has divided eligible credit cards into Set A and Set B. Set A credit cards such as Axis Bank MyZone Credit Card and Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card will provide cardholders with a limited number of complimentary lounge access quarterly or yearly, but only at domestic terminals.

Lounge Access Entry: Condition

According to the bank, eligible card holders will be allowed to access all participating airport lounges under the “Axis Bank Airport Lounge Access Program” depending on one of the following entry types 

Entry Type 1: Only eligible cardholders can get a free entry. For Visa cardholders, it is Rs. 2 and for Mastercard holders, it is Rs. 25. All eligible cards must be verified at the entry point by swiping a transaction for a nominal fee. 

Entry Type 2: The eligible cardholder gets paid entry according to the respective prices of utility displayed at the participating airport lounges, for himself/herself only or for the  guests accompanying him/her. The eligible cardholder will pay directly at the participating airport lounge. 

If cardholders have credit cards that provide complimentary priority pass membership, they can still avail lounge access at international terminals within the country. 

However, it must be kept in mind that this privilege does not apply to the major population of Axis Bank credit cardholders.
