You can check your HDFC Bank clearance status through SMS. To avail this service, the account holder can register for HDFC Banking by sending an SMS, net banking facility, ATM or also submit duly signed application form at any HDFC bank branch.
Here is how you can check your HDFC Bank clearance status via SMS.
- Send “TXN” for HDFC Mini Statement to 99223300004
- Send “CST<6 digit cheque number>” for Cheque Status Enquiry to 99223300004
The account holder can use the above give sms code to send in their 6 digit cheque number from their registered mobile number to 99223300004. He /she will receive an sms showing the cheque status.
Whenever anyone issues a cheque to you, you need to deposit that in your HDFC bank account. The money will be credited after the cheque is cleared. Generally it takes 2-3 business days for the cheque to be cleared. It may take upto 5 days sometimes depending upon the bank holidays, or errors.
