Google pay is one of the most popular digital wallets in India. It permits you to send and receive money from family and friends. It also allows for paying utility bills, transferring money to merchants, online shopping, etc electronically with zero fees. You can add, remove or update your credit and debit cards within your Google Pay account.

Here is a step by step guide to add your credit cards to your Google Pay account. But remember that international cards aren't supported by Google Pay at this point.

How to add credit cards to Google Pay?

Google Pay is available for both Android and iOS. Follow the below-given steps to connect your credit cards to your Google Pay account. 

Step 1: Open Google Pay on your device.

Step 2: At the top right, tap your Photo.

Step 3: Next tap Settings>Payment methods >Add card.

Step 4: Now you need to enter the card number, expiry date, CVV, the cardholder's name and billing address.

Step 5: After filling up all the specified details tap Save.

Step 6: Next you need to accept issuer Terms & conditions.

Step 7: Google Pay will contact the bank to verify your card.

Step 8: Choose how you will verify.

  • You will be asked for extra authentication via OTP

  • OTP can either be auto-read or you can enter it manually

Step 9: Next to your new card's payment method listing, you need to tap Activate and enter your One-time password.

Note:

You'll receive this password via text message to the telephone number associated with your Google Pay account. In case if you do not receive the one-time password, ensure that your contact information is correct.
