To register or link your mobile number with your SBI Bank account you can either visit your home bank branch or get it done through an SBI ATM.

To enjoy internet banking services, one must register or link their mobile number with their SBI Bank account. If your mobile number is not linked to your bank account then you cannot access the net-banking facility. Linking your mobile number with your bank account not only helps you track all your transactions but you will also be notified immediately, when an unauthorized activity happens in your account.

So if you haven't registered or linked your mobile number to your SBI bank account then here’s how you can do it.

Using an SBI ATM:

  1. Swipe your card first and then from the menu choose the ‘Registration’ option.

  2. Enter your ATM PIN.

  3. Select mobile number registration option.

  4. Enter the mobile number you want to register and select the ‘correct’ option if it's correct.

  5. You will be asked to repeat the 4th step for reconfirmation and a message like this  will appear on the ATM screen: “Thank you for registering your mobile number with us”.

  6. A reference number will be sent to your mobile number via SMS.

Via the Home Branch:

You can visit your home branch and raise a request to link your mobile number with your bank account. Mostly, you will be asked to fill up a form and the bank representative will help you complete this process.

Within three days you will receive a call from the SBI contact center. For safety purposes, crosscheck your reference number with the call center person and continue the call only if it matches with the SMS you received from the bank regarding your reference number.

Once you have checked with the reference number you can proceed verifying your personal details, and then your phone number will be registered in your bank account. You will receive an SMS confirming the same.
