Passport is an important document that has to be kept ready, especially while travelling outside India. This official document is issued by the government and it allows the holder to travel outside the country without any trouble. It helps in identifying an individual and his/her nationality during international travel. It can also be used as an identity and address proof.

If you are looking to get a passport for yourself, the first step is to make an application and arrange all the required paperwork. Although passport application has now become seamless, a few passport applications could be rejected for different reasons. This makes it even more essential to be aware of the passport application process and what consists of the application form. What is the process to fill the passport application form?

There are certain rules to be followed while filling a passport application form. These apply to the main and also the supplementary form.
