A credit score is a 3 digit number that represents the evaluation made on a person's capability to repay loan amounts and other debts. Credit bureaus like CIBIL™ , Experian, Equifax, CRIF HighMark provide credit scores that are calculated based on their credit history. Having a good credit score is a must as banks and NBFCs provide you loans or any other form of credit based on your credit score. Lenders like HDFC Bank may use any one or more of the bureau scores to approve or reject your car loan.

A minimum credit score of 700 is required if you are looking forward to get a car loan approved from HDFC bank. It’s important that you maintain your credit score and if you have a bad credit score you should start rebuilding it as soon as possible. With a bad credit score your loan application will likely get rejected. Your past payment history is reflected on your credit score and this will have an impact on your eligibility for a car loan at HDFC.
