How To Register For IOB Net Banking At The Bank’s Branch?

  • Go to a branch of IOB Bank and request for the net banking registration form (individual or corporate).
  • Fill the form completely and submit it to the IOB branch official.
  • Post successful processing, you will get an SMS to your registered mobile number specifying the user/login ID.
  • Both your login and transaction password will be sent to your registered mailing address via speed post within 7 to 10 working days.
  • An SMS will be sent to your registered mobile number post the dispatching of your password from the CPC. The SMS will have the speed post tracking number for your reference.

How to Reset The IOB Net Banking Password

1. Visit the official website of Indian Overseas Bank - https://www.iobnet.co.in/ibanking/html/index1.html.

2. Select the personal or corporate login according to your account type in IOB.

3. Click on the forgot password option. Tap on the forgot password.

4. Enter the login ID and the account number. Enter your login ID and the 15 digit account number.

5. Enter the email id and the text shown in the captcha code.

6. Click on the continue option and then enter the OTP number that you have received in your registered mobile number.

7. Enter the new password and confirm the password. Click on the submit option.

The new password generated from the page will be the current password for your IOB internet banking page. This must be kept secure.

How to Verify The IOB Account Balance Using Net Banking?

Transfer of Funds via IOB Net Banking

The ease in transfer of funds is one of the most important features of a bank’s net banking facility. The IOB net banking allows transfer of funds within the bank (between a person’s own accounts or third party account) or to another bank (own account or third party account).

The process of transfer through the net banking feature is detailed below.

  • The user has to successfully login to the net banking account with the user id and the password to initiate the transfer of funds to any account.
  • The user can transfer funds to an account only if that account is already added as a beneficiary. The net banking account has a cooling period after adding a new payee and funds transfer can be effected only after such cooling period is finished.
  • After logging in to the net banking account the user has to click on ‘remittances’
  • Thereafter, the user will have to choose ‘funds transfer’ and click on ‘Other Bank-NEFT and then ‘Proceed’.
  • The user will have to input the details of the account from where the funds have to be transferred as well as the account to which the funds have to be transferred along with the amount of such transfer and then click on ‘proceed’
  • The user will then have to enter the PIN to authenticate the fund transfer and choose the ‘transfer funds’ option.
  • The user will then be asked to enter the OTP which will be sent to the registered mobile number of the user.
  • Upon validating the transaction with the OTP entered, the transfer will be processed and the user will get a confirmation for the same along with the transaction details like transaction number, date of transfer, payee details, etc.

Payment of Credit Card Bill via IOB Net Banking

The net banking portal of IOB can be used by the user to make payment of credit card dues of any bank. The process of such payment is mentioned here.

The user will first have to log into the net banking portal and add the credit card as a beneficiary/payee for funds transfer. Once the credit card added as beneficiary is activated after the cooling off period, the user can make the payment for the credit card bill.

  • After logging into the net banking account, the user will have to go to the funds transfer section and choose the NEFT option to process the transfer.
  • The user will be required to fill the following information correctly
    • Name of destination bank
    • IFSC code
    • Name of destination branch
    • Destination account number (16 digit credit card number)
    • Amount to be transferred (paid)
    • Transaction code
  • The user will then have to confirm the filled in details on the next page.
  • The user will also have to fill in the registered mobile number to receive the OTP.
  • The transfer will have to be authenticated by submitting the received OTP.
  • Once the transfer is validated, the user will receive a confirmation message for the same.
