What are the steps to activate the Star token app?

The following are the steps you need to follow to activate the star token app:

  • To start StarToken, you need to keep the activation credentials ready.
  • Visit Bank of India’s Retail Internet Banking & log in with your credentials.
  • Press the ‘Download Now’ to download & install StarToken on your device.
  • Now, StarToken is downloaded on the device. You need to click twice on the StarToken installer to install StarToken. Give “Run” to proceed further.
  • After successful installation, Shortcut to star token will appear on the desktop.
  • Open the StarToken app to initiate the application and press Login.
  • Mention the userID and press the ‘Submit’ button.
  • Ensure that the verification key shown in the activation window is the same as received from the Bank of India.
  • Once the key matches, press the “Verification key is correct” option.
  • Mention the Activation Code and hit the ‘Submit’ option.


In case of unmatched verification keys, click the ‘Exit’ and call the Bank of India Customer Care. You can also regenerate the verification key by choosing the Generate verification code option and pressing the ‘Reset’ option. You will get an acknowledged message. Now you can log in with a new verification key obtained on your registered mobile number.

  • After successful login, set up the security question & answer
  • Press the ‘Submit' option.
  • Set a 4 digit StarToken PIN and press the ‘Submit’ option.

What are the steps to transfer funds via BOI net banking?

Bank of India has been doing its best in setting up an online banking atmosphere for the banks working in India. As a result, all local banks can transfer funds between them by utilizing IMPS, RTGS, and NEFT payment portals. Below are the steps you need to follow to transfer money to IMPS, the most preferred method.

  • Step 1: Visit the Bank of India website.

  • Step 9: Press the ‘Pay’ to successfully make the payment. Remember to save the confirmation number.

What are the steps to Reset StarToken PIN?

Follow the below-mentioned steps to reset your StarToken PIN:

  • Type your User ID and enter the wrong PIN 3 times.
  • Next, you need to restart StarToken-NG.
  • Press the “Yes” option when you are asked, “Do you want to reset your account?”
  • Mention the OTP that you received on the registered mobile number.
  • Mention the Security Answer.
  • You need to log in again with the new verification key & Activation code.
  • Set the new security question & answer, the new StarToken-N.
