Fund Transfer: An important feature of Net Banking allows you to transfer funds within your accounts, to other Axis Bank accounts or accounts in other banks. Allows for ‘Pay Now’ or ‘Schedule Later’ options.

Request Services: This majorly comprises non-financial transactions like Cheque Book Request, Demand Draft, Stop Cheque Payment, updation of PAN, communication address, mobile number, etc.

Investment Services: Invest in investment products of the bank, create FDs, invest in IPOs, etc.

Value-Added Services: This includes bill payments, mobile recharges, Visa Bill Pay, etc.

How to get started with Axis Bank Net Banking?

Axis Bank Net Banking registration can be done in a few simple steps. Axis Bank Net Banking is secured with 2-step authentication called Net secure, for additional security.

In order to use Net Banking, you must first register for Net Banking. 

Registering for Net Banking

  • Fill up the Axis Bank Internet Banking Form. This form is available on the bank’s website or at your nearest branch.
  • It has to be duly signed by all the account holders. 
  • Remember to mention your mobile number to link it with your Internet Banking account
  • Submit it at the branch
  • The bank will send the Password through mail
  • Your Customer ID is your login ID. You can find the Customer ID on the welcome letter and checkbook that is mailed to you post your account opening.
  • Once you have received the password, you can log in to your Net Banking account.

Logging in to Net Banking for the first time

There are two ways to log in to Axis Bank Net Banking

  • Customer ID & Password (sent by mail) - If you have registered for Net banking through the branch and have received the password by mail, you can visit the Axis Bank Net Banking page and login using the Customer ID and Password. If you have not received your password, then you can simply use the ‘First Time User’ and generate the login password using your debit card 4-digit ATM Pin and your registered mobile number.
  • Debit Card number & Password (generated by OTP method) - You can also simply use the Debit Card login option and login with your Debit card number and the PIN.

How to register my mobile number for Net Banking at an ATM?

  • Visit your nearest Axis Bank ATM
  • Select Registrations
  • Select Netsecure
  • Enter your mobile number and confirm it
  • You will get an SMS confirming your registration
  • Alternatively, you can also visit the nearest branch and register your mobile number for Internet Banking (Net secure)

What is Netsecure?

Netsecure is a 2-way authentication system for additional account security on Net Banking. Every time you log in with your User ID and password, you will have to go through the second layer of authentication that is Netsecure.

Different types of Net secure available: 

  • Netsecure with SMS
  • Netsecure with 1-touch device
  • Netsecure with Display Debit Card

Unblocking a locked account

  • Your Internet Banking access will be locked after 4 attempts of incorrect password input
  • This access will be automatically unlocked or enabled by 24:00 hours IST (midnight).
  • Once your Internet Banking access is unlocked, you may log in through your usual device or visit the nearest Axis Bank ATM to reset your questions instantly.
  • In case you do not have access to an Axis Bank ATM or your usual device, you may visit the branch to reset your answers.

Fund Transfer

Fund transfer is an important feature of Net Banking. It is also the most used feature. Axis Bank Net Banking allows the following types of fund transfers:

NEFT – Allows transferring funds from your Axis Bank account to any other bank account that is a part of this scheme

RTGS - Real-time gross settlement systems (RTGS) allows money transfer from one bank to another on a "real time" basis and "gross" basis.

IMPS – Immediate Payment Service allows the transfer and receiving funds via IMPS using the registered Mobile number and Mobile Money Identifier (MMID) or through Internet Banking.

Instant Money Transfer (Cash transfer, cardless withdrawal) - is an innovative domestic service from Axis Bank that allows you to send cash to a receiver by mentioning the receiver's mobile number and issuing an IMT. The Receiver need not have a bank account and can make a cardless withdrawal, from any ATM of the banks empanelled.

Visa Money Transfer – This system allows you to pay bills of a Visa Credit Card issued by any bank, or transfer money to a beneficiary's bank account using the Visa Debit Card number.

ECS – Electronic Clearing Service - This facilitates paperless credit / debit transactions directly linked to your account and also provides for a faster method of effecting periodic and repetitive payments.

1. What is the daily transaction limit for Fund Transfers?

The default daily transaction limit is set at Rs. 5 Lakh. Since there is no maximum limit for Funds Transfer, you can enhance your daily limit up to 50 lakhs through the Internet Banking. You can place a request for increasing the limit beyond Rs. 50 lacs and the same is processed on a case to case basis.

2. Is Fund Transfer facility available to Non-Resident Indians?

Yes, Fund Transfer facility is available to Non-Resident Indians also. Funds can be transferred from a NRE account to another NRE / NRO / Resident account. Similarly, funds can be transferred from a NRO account to another NRO / Resident account. However, funds transfer is not possible from resident accounts to NRE accounts.

3. Are there any charges for Fund Transfers?

Yes, charges are applicable based on the type of transfer. You will see the charges applicable prior to submitting the fund transfer request.

4. What is an IFSC code?

The Indian Financial System Code (IFSC) is an RBI issued code which is being used in the NEFT system to identify recipient bank branches. It is essential to mention the IFSC code of the recipient’s bank branch where you want your funds to be transferred to. The IFSC can be found on the cheque book below your account number.

5. Is online Bill Pay secure?

Axis Bank's Net Banking uses a 128 bit SSL encryption for transacting on the net. All online Bill Pay sessions are encrypted within the banking server and provide you with the highest safety level while conducting your transactions.

6. How many billers can I register to pay using this facility?

There are no restrictions on the number of billers that you can register under the Pay Bills option provided in Internet Banking.

7. How do I get my Login ID?

Your login ID is the same as the Customer ID. You can find it on your welcome letter & in the cheque book that is mailed to you. You can also send an SMS “CUSTID account no.” to 5676782 from your registered mobile number to get your Login/ customer ID. NRI customers can also obtain their customer ID by sending an SMS “CUSTID AccountNumber” to +919717000002.
