SBI Customer Support with Missed Call

SBI offers a free service called SBI –Quick, a missed call banking service to all existing customers. Customers can use this service to avail details about their bank account like – account balance, mini statement, to request a checkbook and more, just by giving a missed call from their registered mobile number.

To avail this service, customers have to first register for this service by sending an SMS to 092234 88888. The format is:

SBI Credit Card Customer Care Number

To report lost or stolen cards or fraudulent activity on your credit cards, you can use any of the following methods to get in touch with the customer care team immediately.

  • Head to the official website of the SBI card, log into your account and block your card instantly by clicking on the option, “block lost/stolen card” and follow the instructions.
  • You can also your lost/stolen card by sending an SMS BLOCK XXXX to 5676791 from your registered mobile number. Here XXXX refers to the last 4 digits of your card.

Alternatively, you can call the customer care team at 1860 500 1290 /1860 180 1290 to block your card instantly. The local number to report a stolen/lost card is 39 02 02 02 (prefix the local STD code). Note that these numbers are available 24 x 7, 365 days of the year.

SBI offers an interactive artificial intelligence enabled chatbots – ILA for all card related queries. Customers can ask a query to ILA and the chatbots will provide customers with the right responses.

SBI Grievance Redressal Mechanism

SBI offers customers with an efficient grievance redressal system. Here’s a look at the various steps involved in grievance redressal.

Level 1

For any difficulties regarding banking transactions, customers can approach the Service Manager, the Customer Relations Executive or the Branch Manager for help.

Alternatively, customers can also write a complaint in the complaint book that is available at all SBI branches. When you write a complaint in the book, a copy of the complaint will be provided to you with an acknowledgment receipt.

The branch will work on resolving the complaint to the customer’s satisfaction within a maximum period of three weeks. If in case, the bank is not able to resolve the complaint, the reason and the status is informed to the customer along with further actions for early redressal.

If in case, the customer is unable to visit the branch, he/she may lodge the complaint on other channels like:

  • Calling the customer care toll-free numbers 1800 425 3800, 1800 11 22 11 or 080-26599990 (Toll Number)
  • By sending SMS “UNHAPPY” to 8008 20 20 20
  • By writing an email to contactcentre[at]sbi[dot]co[dot]in 
  • Lodge the grievance online using the bank’s website. Head to the Customer Care option and tap on the complaints link.

Customers lodged via these channels are sent to the corresponding branches for action.

Level 2

If the customer is not satisfied with the resolution of the complaint in Level 1, he/she can reach out to:

  • The Assistant General Manager of the Regional Business Office
  • General Manager of the Local Head Office
