Any complaints or feedback can be brought to the notice of the bank authorities at any time. There is a process of escalation which can be noted below:

  • The concerned Branch Manager must be notified first about the issue.
  • If there is no satisfactory response, it can be escalated to the Regional Manager of the bank.
  • If there is no satisfactory closure on the complaint, the issue can be further escalated to the Zonal office and then to the Nodal Officer at the Corporate Office in Bangalore at the following address:

Syndicate Bank has the provision of registering a complaint online through the Online Grievance Redressal & Feedback System portal. If there is an extreme situation, the customer can also get in touch with the Line Functioning Heads directly. Syndicate Bank has clearly advised the customers not to use the online complaint system for filing complaints regarding debit cards/credit cards which include hot listing the lost/misplaced cards and issues relating to internet banking. The bank has provided dedicated helplines for customers in these situations which will help them find a solution in the right manner.

Grievance Redressal Timelines

Syndicate Bank has clearly defined the timelines within which a resolution must be found for the complaint. Any complaint that has been received must be examined and addressed to the satisfaction of the customer.

  • Any complaint received at the bank branch must be analyzed and redressed within 7 days.
  • Any complaint received at the Regional Office should be forwarded to the concerned bank branch for clarification and confirmation of the redressal. The Regional Office should send a letter to the complainant within 15 days of the receipt of the complaint.
  • If a complaint is received by the Nodal Officer at the Corporate Office, it is to be forwarded to the Regional Office for further action. The redressal process must be initiated immediately and the letter of redressal is to be sent to the complainant within 15 days of the receipt of the complaint with a copy to the Nodal Officer.

There could be complaints that require more time for examination and final closure. A suitable letter must be sent to the complainant explaining the situation and that it is being worked upon.
