It has introduced the Aadhaar Concept across the country and has been successfully managing the functioning of this system. For all financial transactions, Government interactions and other legal services, Aadhaar Card holds a dominant and trustworthy position amongst all other documents. If there are any concerns or issues faced during the process of getting an Aadhaar Card or even after receiving it, there is a dedicated grievance redressal process put in place by UIDAI. There are many ways of registering your feedback or concern.

1. UIDAI Contact Centre

There is a dedicated Contact Centre set up for addressing queries and concerns regarding Aadhaar Enrolment or Updation services. When an individual goes to an Aadhaar Enrolment Centre, an acknowledgement receipt is handed over to the applicant after successful submission of the application. This contains an Enrolment ID number which can be used to register the complaint through the Contact Centre. One a file a complaint through the Resident Portal as well.

2. Post

Mailing a hard copy of your written feedback can be done through post to UIDAI. The grievance/complaint letter is observed and sent to the concerned Regional Office. This can be done only after the approval of the Deputy Director who is also the Public Grievance Officer at UIDAI. The concerned Regional Office closes the grievance matter by directly communicating with the complainant. Any interim responses that are required are handed by the regional office.

3. Public Grievance Portal of the Government of India

One more channel for registering your grievance with UIDAI is through the Public Grievance Portal. The various ways in which it can be done are:

Once the grievances are received, it is examined and forwarded to the concerned Regional Office after the approval of the Public Grievance Officer at UIDAI. The Regional Office resolves the grievance online. If any responses have to be given in the interim, it will be handled by the same Regional Office.

4. Email

Grievance or concerns can be shared through email with the officials at UIDAI. It is assessed and then forwarded to the concerned Regional Office or Concerned Section at the HQ office. The grievance is then handled and closed out by the Regional Office over the email with a copy to the Grievance Cell at UIDAI.
