How To Link Aadhaar With Your Idea Mobile Number

If you wish to link a mobile number that is not registered with your Aadhaar number on UIDAI, you can do so by visiting the nearest Idea store. You have to link all mobile connections under your name to your Aadhaar number.

Step 1: Walk in to the nearest Idea showroom

Step 2: Submit your Idea number and a self-attested copy of Aadhaar to the store executive

Step 3: The store assistant will use the re-verification application and send an OTP to your mobile number

Step 4: Along with the OTP, you will be required to verify your biometrics for confirmation

Step 5: The Aadhaar linking will be completed in the next 24 hours and a confirmation SMS will be sent to you

Step 6: You have to reply ‘Y’ to this message to complete the linking

This option is for linking a mobile number that is already linked with your Aadhaar in the UIDAI database

Step 1: The customer has to call the toll free number 14546 from their Idea mobile

Step 2: On the IVR they have to choose whether they are an Indian citizen or NRI

Step 3: The customer has to re-verify their number once

Step 4: Then they are required to enter their 12-digit Aadhaar number

Step 5: Press 1 to verify & confirm the Aadhaar number entered

Step 6: The customer is asked their willingness to give Idea the consent to access their personal details like full name, date of birth, and photo from UIDAI’s server

Step 7: Following this an OTP will be sent to the mobile number

Step 8: A recorded message will read out the last 4 digits of the mobile number. At this point, the customer enters the OTP received on the mobile, if the number is correct

Step 9: Then they have to press 1 to complete the linking process. An SMS confirmation is sent once the linking is successful.

This option is for linking a mobile number that is already linked with your Aadhaar in the UIDAI database

Step 1: You have to dial the toll free number 12345 from your Idea mobile

Step 2: Follow the IVR instructions and choose the Aadhaar verification option

Step 3: You will be required to punch in your Aadhaar number twice

Step 4: Follow the IVR instructions to verify and confirm the Aadhaar number you have entered. Your Idea number will then be linked to your Aadhaar

Step 5: An SMS confirming the same will be sent to you within the next 24 hours

• Customers can add Aadhaar number to their mobile connections irrespective of them being linked to the Aadhaar number on the UIDAI database
• More than one mobile connection can be added to the same Aadhaar number. However, this option can be availed only at an Idea store with the help of the store executive.
