Aadhaar Card Enrollment Centers In Bangalore

The UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) is that statutory body responsible for all Aadhaar related services. It has set up several Aadhaar enrollment centers in all cities across the country for the benefit of citizens. Aadhaar enrollment centers act as one-stop information center for all Aadhaar related queries.

• Aadhaar enrollment centers can be divided into two categories:
• Permanent centers that are available round the year
• Camp mode centers available only during specific periods

Aadhaar Enrollment Centers serve three major purposes:

• To register new applicants
• To update changes in demographic and biometric data of existing Aadhaar cards
• To make corrections – typo errors, spelling mistakes – in existing Aadhaar cards

Residents who hold an Aadhaar can make the following changes to their Aadhaar card at the enrollment center:

• Change of name
• Change of address
• Change of mobile number/email id
• Change of gender
• Change of date of birth

Fees and Charges at the Aadhaar Enrollment Center

The UIDAI makes it easy to locate an Aadhaar enrollment center that is convenient for you. First, visit the UIDAI official website www.uidai.gov.in. Then click on My Aadhaar Get Aadhaar Locate an Aadhaar Enrollment Center

• State
• Postal (PIN) code
• Or using the search box

Uncheck the “Show centers only at post offices and banks,” to get a list of all centers in your city. Enter the captcha code and click on “Locate a Center.”

During Aadhaar enrollment, the applicant has to provide the following information:

Step 1: Fill the Enrollment/Update Form

The enrollment or update form is available with the enrollment officer. Make sure to carry the original documents for address proof and id proof with you. You can find the list of permitted documents in the UIDAI website.

Make sure to double-check the data entered so that it’s absolutely correct without any spelling errors. If you notice any corrections, make sure to get it corrected during the enrolment process itself.

Step 2: The Enrollment Officer enters the Data into the Database

Once you have filled up the enrollment form, the enrollment officer feeds the data into the system. Once you have submitted the form, the officer will take your photo, iris scan, and fingerprint scan as part of the enrolment process. This is only for new applicants. If you are updating your data, then only the data that is changing has to be entered.

Step 3: Receive the EID/UID

Once your application is filed, you will receive an acknowledgement slip and an enrollment number (EID). Corrections to your enrolment data can be done within 96 hours of enrolment, by visiting the enrolment centre once again.

Once your Aadhaar card is generated, it is dispatched to your residential address.

All Aadhaar enrollment centers are open from Monday to Sunday, from 10 am to 5 pm. However, if the center you have chosen is located at a bank, it is not available during bank working hours.
