These centres conduct the enrolment process without any charge which include collection of demographic and biometric data. One can apply for an Aadhaar Card in any of these centres. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) has made it very easy for citizens of the country to locate the nearest Aadhaar Card Enrolment Centre in your city or town. The following steps can be noted to locate Aadhaar Enrolment Centre:
- Go to UIDAI website
- Click on “Locate Enrolment & Update Centres in Other Cities”
- Selection options from State, Pin Code or Search Box
- Enter the name of your District, Town, Village or Sub District
- Select the check box option if you only want to search td for Permanent Centres
- Enter verification code and click on “Search” button

Things to do in Aadhaar Enrolment Centre
Aadhar Enrolment Centres have been set up across the country to facilitate the process of giving a unique identity number to all residents of India. This unique identification number is helpful in combating duplicate and fake identities. This twelve-digit identification number is unique to every individual. One needs to keep all documents ready for Aadhaar enrolment before going to the Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. The following activities are undertaken at the centre for getting your Aadhaar:
- Locate the closest Aadhaar Enrolment Centre near you by going to the website of UIDAI.
- Download the Aadhaar Enrolment form from this website and complete the details.
- Take an appointment for Aadhaar Enrolment.
- Submit the form with the required supporting documents when you visit the Aadhaar Enrolment Centre. (Identity proof, Address proof etc.)
- Submit your biometric details which includes fingerprints and an iris scan.
- Photograph is also taken at the centre.
- Collect acknowledgement slip that has a 14-digit enrolment number. This number can be used later to track the status of your Aadhaar card generation.
