IRCTC is used by millions of Indians to book train tickets for their travels within the country. Over the years, it has grown to become an application providing various services like holidays, hotels, tour packages, flights, meals pre-booking and many more travel related services.

Customers can access IRCTC on the website or use the mobile app to make bookings. Currently, customers can book up to 6 e-tickets in a month. However, if the users have linked their Aadhaar numbers with their IRCTC accounts and have verified the Aadhaar of another passenger traveling on the ticket, they can book up to 12 e-tickets in one month. This can be done by logging in to their account on the IRCTC website or on the IRCTC Rail Connect mobile app.
