Grievance Redressal

The customers can use the grievance redressal forum available with the Bank to address any complaints or issues that they may face while carrying out their banking transactions. Deutsche Bank has four levels of escalation within its system. The following are the details of the escalation available.

  • Level 1 – When the customers face any issues or have any query regarding any of the Bank’s products or services or have to report any fraud or theft or loss of their cards, the customers can contact the customer care service to address such queries or concerns. The bank will not respond to any queries or concerns raised via unregistered email ids.
  • Level 2 – If the customers do not get a timely response or if the response received is unsatisfactory from the above communication, they can escalate their grievance to the Head of the Customer Service Department via email at head[dot]services[at]db[dot]com
  • Level 3 – The next level of escalation is to the Nodal Officer of the respective region. The contact details for the same are available at the bank’s official website. Customers can expect a response within 7 working days from the date of such escalation.
  • Level 4 – This is the highest level of escalation available within the Bank. The customers can raise their grievances to the respective department heads of the bank. The customers have to provide all the required details about the grievance and other necessary information as required.

In the event that the customers do not get a satisfactory response from the grievance redressal system of the bank or I no response is received within a month of raising the complaint, they can further take their grievance to the Banking Ombudsman appointed by RBI. 1. How to change the mobile number registered with Deutsche Bank?

A. Customers can avail of various channels available with the bank for changing their contact information or only their mobile number. The customers can either Log in to their online banking account and change or update the mobile number. Contacting the customer care service available 24x7 on 1800 123 660 / 18001236601. By sending an email from the registered email id to customer[dot]care[at]db[dot]com mentioning the customer id and the new mobile number to be updated.

2. Can the card be blocked if the card gets stuck in another bank’s ATM?

A. In case the card is stuck or gets sucked into the ATM, the customer can contact the branch that has issued the card and ask for a new card or retrieval of the same even if such ATM is of another bank. Also the card can be blocked in the meantime as a new card may be issued in its place. If the original card is retrieved, the customer can unblock the said card by contacting the issuing bank branch.

3. Is there a charge to be paid for using other bank’s ATM?

A. As per the RBI policy there is no charge on using other bank’s ATM as it is free under ‘Free ATM access Policy’ however, the banks are allowed to put a restriction on such transactions i.e., a maximum of 5 per month. Beyond this limit the customer is charged Rs. 20 per transaction.
