Introduction to the Fund
The Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund is an open-ended mutual fund scheme that invests predominately in large-cap and mid-cap stocks. This fund helps investors enjoy capital appreciation in the long term.
The Indian economy is one of the fastest-growing economies in the world. This provides multiple opportunities for strong and sustained growth to Indian companies. The Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund identifies Indian companies – large and mid-cap – that have the potential to grow immensely and follow a sound business model.
This fund follows a bottom-up strategy of investing and invests predominately in large and mid-cap stocks. Large caps are companies that are ranked in the Top 100 in their respective industry based on market capitalisation. Mid-cap companies are ranked between 100 and 250.
This fund aims to identify tomorrow’s leaders today and invest in the stocks of these companies, thereby offering the potential for generating significant capital appreciation in the long-term.

Highlights of the Canara Robeco Emerging Equities Fund
This fund invests in the equities of both large and mid-cap funds, thereby providing investors with a diverse portfolio. Historically, mid-caps perform better than large-caps, when the economy is picking up. Thereby this fund has high potentials for generating huge returns to investors.
In the economy, every trough (fall) is followed by an expansion phase. Staying invested in midcaps, even when the market is down is highly advantageous. This helps investors reap the benefits of an economic boom.
Investors have to remember that though mid-caps and large-caps are risky and the associated risks are high; these funds have the potential to generate higher returns, thereby providing capital appreciation to unitholders in the long run.
Investment Philosophy of this Fund
It is companies and not shares (stocks) that generate wealth.
