Introduction to the Fund

On May 7th, 2012, Bank of India had bought a 51% stake in the Bharti AXA Investment Managers Private Limited (Bharti AXA Mutual Fund) and Bharti AXA Trustee Services Private Limited. Post this joint venture, Bank of India (BOI) became a co-sponsor along with the existing sponsor – AXA Investment Managers and the Mutual Fund was renamed to BOI AXA Mutual Fund.


BOI AXA Mutual Fund offers about 11 different schemes broadly under the Equity, Debt and Hybrid types of mutual fund. These funds are managed by experienced Fund Managers who have more than a decade of experience in investments.

Online investment – You can invest online through the facility of ‘Invest Online’ without submitting any documents. The pre-requisite for using this service by new investors are:

  • Mobile

If the above details are readily available, it will take less than 5mins to complete the transaction.

  • Submission at the Branch – You can personally submit the completed application form with the required supporting documents at any of the branches in the country. The application form can be easily accessed from the Investor Corner section of the website.
  • Investing through SMS – This facility is available for an existing investor who has a folio number. You need register with the fund and submit an application form. After completing the registration, you can start investing through SMS using codes.
  • Through registered investment advisors – You can make your investments through AMFI registered investment advisors who have been enrolled with them as well as the SEBI.
  • BSE & NSE Platforms – You can make your investments through the DEMAT mode. One needs to contact the Brokers to transact through stock exchanges Mutual fund platform. The brokers who have the license to operate on these platforms can accept the physical or Demat mode investments.

1. Is there any charge for operating an online account?

No. This service is offered at free of cost.

2. How are the redemption proceeds received?

Once the redemption process has been completed on the applicable NAV, the proceeds are transferred to your online bank account that has been registered.

3. Is it possible to make multiple redemptions/switches/different folios at the same time?

Yes, this can be done.

4. I have completed my first purchase online. What are the steps to be followed to use the other facilities?

A used ID gets created when you first make the online purchase. This user ID serves the purpose of login as well. All features like financial transactions – redemption/switch/SIP/liquidity and Non-financial transactions – making a folio, removing a folio, password creation and PIN change can be done through this user ID.

5. What activities can I do through Invest Online?

As a New and an Existing Investor, you can invest online in the mutual fund without any paperwork. You can place a request for Purchase, Redemption or Switch. You can view account details, transaction summary and view/download account statement online.
