Details of the Car Loans of Kotak Mahindra Bank

Kotak Mahindra Bank provides car loans for the purchase of new/fresh cars as well as used/second hand cars. The bank has tailor made loans at easy affordable rates and flexible tenure to enable the customers to enjoy the benefits of the car financing without feeling burdened by the same. Some of the features of the Kotak Mahindra Prime Ltd. Scheme for car loans are detailed below.

  • Eligibility – 

The eligible applicants are the salaried individuals and self-employed persons having minimum age of 21 years and maximum age of 60 years in case of salaried individuals and 65 years in case of self-employed individuals. The minimum income/ business criterion is Rs. 15,000 and I year of business respectively.

The bank also extends the eligibility to the Partnership Firms and LLPs, Public and Private limited companies, HUFs and Trusts as well under this scheme.

  • Amount of Loan Sanctioned – 

The maximum amount of loan that can be sanctioned under this scheme in case of both new cars as well as used cars is 90% of the value of the car. Minimum loan amount that can be disbursed under the scheme for new cars is Rs. 75,000.

  • Tenure

The bank offers a minimum of 12 months (1 Year) for repayment of the loan and a maximum tenure of 84 months (7 years) for new cars and 60 months (5 years) for used cars.

  • Processing time – 

The processing time for new car loans is generally 48 hours (2 days) and for used cars it is 72 hours (3 days) from the time of submitting all the necessary completed and approved documents.

Customers can prepay the loan after a minimum of 6 months from the disbursement of the loan at a nominal charge levied by the bank. The bank also has a requirement of a guarantor in case the applicant does not meet the set criteria according to the guidelines of the bank.
