What is a home loan?

Home loan helps you plug in the financial need of purchasing or building a house. Banks offer financial assistance through home loans. The purchasing property is treated as mortgage till the time the loan is fully repaid. One can avail flexible or fixed rate of interest option on the loan. The repayment capacity is considered by the bank while sanctioning a home loan. The repayment capacity is based on the individual’s monthly disposable income. If this income is high, the loan amount will also be high. The tenure of a home loan can vary between 5 and 30 years. One can also avail tax benefits on home loan.
