Here are the steps to be followed for complaint redressal –
1. Check FAQ
The first recourse for any complaint you may have is to check the Frequently Asked Questions section of the bank website. If you do not find your query here move to the next step.
2. Bring the issue to the bank’s notice
If you do not find your query listed in the Frequently Asked Questions section, use one of the many channels of communication – phone, email, or letter – to bring your issue to the bank’s notice. The executives from the bank will make every effort to help you. You will be allotted a complaint number at this stage. Please use this as a reference in all future correspondence for this issue.
3. The Regional Manager of your area
If your issue is still not resolved, you can approach the Regional Manager via email, call, or letter. You can either discuss your issue over a call or fixe up an F2F meeting. Please share the complaint number allotted to your complaint in step 2 above to help the Regional Manager track your complaint.
4. Corporate Office
If you still feel dissatisfied, you can write or email to the corporate office in Bangalore at the following address -
Syndicate Bank, Corporate Office
Planning & Development Department
Syndicate Bank Building
2nd Cross, Gandhinagar,
Bangalore – 560009
The Nodal officer will look into your issue.
You can also connect via phone, FAX, or email.
Line Functioning Heads
Usually all complaints are resolved much before reaching this level. However, in the unfortunate event your complaint has still not been addressed satisfactorily, you may approach Line Functioning Head for loans at the corporate office.
As a matter of final recourse, you can move up to the level of Managing Director or Chairman of the bank directly by calling in or visiting the corporate office. However few if any complaints reach this stage. Most are resolved within the first 2 steps of complaint redressal.
There is also the Internal Ombudsman who can help resolve your query. You can contact the internal ombudsman here –
