Customer Day at Syndicate Bank

Just as schools have “Open Day” Syndicate bank has “Customer Day”. This day is observed on the 15th of every month at all offices of the bank, be it corporate, regional, or branch offices. The doors are thrown open between 3 to 5 pm and any customer can walk into any office of Syndicate Bank to meet any officer – irrespective of hierarchy – and raise any issue he or she may be facing with regard to both banking and non-banking services. You can also make suggestions for improvement in technology, processing, or other aspects of servicing.

Last Recourse

As a matter of final recourse, you can move up to the level of Managing Director or Chairman of the bank directly by calling in or visiting the corporate office. However few if any complaints reach this stage. Most are resolved within the first 2 steps of complaint redressal.

2. Then select Loan Enquiry => Vehicle Loan.

3. In the form that pops up, fill in all your details.

4. The bank’s representative will call you – usually within 24 hours – to help you through the loan application process.

For New Cars

  • For corporates who wish to avail loan of above 25 lakhs, there is a ceiling of 85% of the on-road price of the car.
  • For loan applications below 25 Lakh, the ceiling is 95% of the on-road price plus an additional loan of 10,000 INR for accessories. There is also an overall ceiling of 3 times the gross annual income of the borrower.

For Used Car Loans

  • You can apply for a loan amount of up to Rs.10 lakh or 70% of the valuation of the vehicle, whichever is less.
  • The rate of interest is related to the age of the vehicle.

  • Co-Applicant – Syndicate Bank accepts co-applicants for car loans. The income of the co-applicant will be added to the income of the primary applicant for purpose of computation of eligibility and repayment capacity.
  • Income Flow – Syndicate Bank takes into account income inflow and debt outflow for computation of eligibility for loan. Having a healthy income inflow and a low debt-outflow will increase your chances of approval.
  • Loan Tenure – A short tenure means you repay the loan faster. However you will have to pay a higher EMI in order to do so. On the other hand, if your income does not permit a high EMI, you may have to extend your tenure.
  • Existing Customer – If you are an existing customer and already have a bank account with Syndicate Bank, your application process will move faster since most details are already available for verification.
