How to register for Andhra Bank UPI?

How to send or receive payments through Andhra Bank UPI?

The main feature of UPI is to send or receive funds instantly and easily. Customers can transfer funds to any account having virtual payment address or through the account number or IFSC code as the case may be. Funds transfer through UPI is very convenient and secure which makes it the preferred option. It has a huge impact in the positive direction for the cashless economy vision of the Government of India.

The process of sending or receiving funds through UPI is mentioned below.

  • The first step as usual is downloading the UPI application and duly registering with the same.
  • After successful registration, customers will have to generate the UPI id by providing a user name and a corresponding 6 digit PIN that will be used to authenticate the funds transfer request.
  • For initiating a funds transfer, customers will have to first open the application and select the option for sending money or receiving money respectively.
  • The next step is to enter the payee details like their VPA, IFSC Code or account number as well as the amount to be paid.
  • Alternatively, customers can scan the QR Code of the payee to make instant payment.
  • Customers will then have to enter the 6 digit UPI PIN to validate or authenticate the payment request.
  • After successful payment of the funds through UPI, customers will get a notification for the same and details of the transaction like the transaction ID, amount transferred, etc.
  • For receiving payment from a payer, customers will have to enter the UPI PIN again to validate the request initiated.

How to reset Andhra Bank UPI PIN?

UPI Pin is an extremely important part of the UPI account and has to be kept secure to avoid any unnecessary hassles like loss or theft of funds or fraud. In case a customer forgets the UPI PIN, it can be easily reset within minutes through very simple steps. Following is the procedure for the same.

  • Customers have to enter the username at the login page and then click on ‘Forgot Password’
  • This will take the customers to a new page where they will be required to select the option ‘Forgot UPI PIN’ which is available under the Account Management option of the account selected.
  • Next step is to enter a new 6 digit UPI and then re-enter the same to confirm it.
  • After this, customers will get a message or notification informing them of the successful change of the UPI PIN.

Customers also have the option to change UPI PIN on a regular basis even if they remember the same. Such facility is available at zero additional charges and can be done multiple times without any upper limit to such resetting of the UPI PIN.

1. How to find details of my transaction history through the Andhra Bank UPI?

Yes. Customers can get information or history of all the transactions of Andhra Bank UPI. For this, they will have to select the date range for such history of transactions. Andhra Bank UPI will provide a detailed list of transactions within such date range including the status of each transaction and the transaction id, amount, date, time, payee or payer details, etc.

2. What is the maximum number of transactions allowed per customer per day using Andhra Bank UPI?

Andhra Bank allows a maximum of 20 transactions per customer per day.

3. Are funds transferred through UPI faster than funds transferred through NEFT or RTGS modes?

Yes. Funds transfer through UPI occurs in real time and hence is faster as compared to NEFT or RTGS modes.

4. Is having a bank account mandatory to have a UPI account or can a person link their card or e-wallet to register a new UPI account?

UPI account can only be linked to an existing bank account. Hence, having a bank account is a prerequisite along with many other preconditions like a registered mobile number, debit card or ATM card, etc. without an existing bank account, UPIU registration is not possible even though the customer may have a valid card or e-wallet. Thus, having a bank account is mandatory for a valid UPI account.

5. Can I change my UPI Pin multiple times?

Yes. UPI PIN of Andhra Bank UPI can be easily changed multiple times or even in case customer does not remember the UPI PIN.
