FASTag was introduced with the objective of reducing long waiting time at toll plazas. This in turn helps to save a lot of fuel and time for vehicle users. Since the payments are electronic, this allows for higher transparency for the government with regards to the toll collections.
Customers have to submit the duly filled in application form along with the below documents. They are required to bring in the below mentioned original documents as well as a copy of it, to get the FASTag account created.

Some of the issues addressed through this number are:
City Union Bank is one of the designated banks authorized to issue FASTags to its customers. CUB FASTag program is part of the National Electronic Toll Collection(NETC) initiative rolled out by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), under the guidelines of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the Indian Highways Management Company Ltd (IHMCL).
FASTag is a tag sticker that uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to provide a contactless toll collection system at all National Toll Plazas. With an active FASTag affixed to your vehicle’s windscreen, you can cruise through toll plazas without stopping for cash transactions. These FASTags can be pre-loaded with money and used to pay for your vehicle toll payments electronically. When the vehicle passes through the toll gate, the RFID reader at the toll plaza receives information about the vehicle and the toll amount is deducted automatically from the FASTag wallet, thus saving valuable time & money for the users.
CUB FASTag affixed vehicles can cruise through 460+ Electronic Toll Plaza across National Highways. Users can make use of the demarcated ETC FASTag lanes at the toll plaza and get the toll fee directly deducted from their FASTag wallet. This has saved an enormous amount of time and fuel to all its users. They also need not worry about carrying cash for the toll payments.
The NETC system is inter-operable and the same FASTag can be used across all toll plazas under the National Electronic Toll Collection (NETC) program. Planning is underway to include more toll plazas under the ambit of FASTag.
1. Will I get any concessions given to local vehicles if I reside within 10 Km of a toll plaza?
You can take the FASTag and submit the proof of your stay within the 10 Km of your toll plaza. Once verified you will get the concessions.
2. What if I relocate to another city?
FASTag is inter operable and will work on all enabled toll plazas. In case of change in city or address, you can inform the Issuer Agency/Bank.
3. Is there a separate lane for FASTag users?
Yes, FASTag users will always get a separate lane at toll plazas which will be only used by FASTag affixed vehicles.
4. How will I be informed if my FASTag account balance is low?
You are required to maintain the minimum threshold amount on your wallet at all times. If the FASTag account balance reaches a minimum balance, a low balance SMS alert will be sent to your registered mobile number. You can monitor your FASTag account through the customer web portal or call the 24x7 customer care at 18002587200. Instant SMS alerts are sent every time you pass through a FASTag lane.
5. What is the process to get CUB FASTag when I own another bank/issuer FASTag?
In case you own another bank issued FASTag, you need to first close the existing bank/issuer FASTag account and remove the tag from your vehicle. Then reach out to any of the nearest CUB branches to apply for a CUB FASTag.
6. Whom should I contact, if an incorrect amount is deducted from my FASTag account?
You can reach out to the CUB FASTag 24X7 customer care at 18002587200 to get the transaction reviewed. You can also send an email to fastagcare[at]cityunionbank[dot]in with necessary proofs such as transaction details, vehicle RC and vehicle image. If found incorrect, the incorrect deduction will be reversed to your FASTag account.
7. How would I cross the toll plaza if the ETC equipment is not working?
In case NETC equipment is not working, in spite of your FASTag account having sufficient balance, you can pay the toll fee in cash at the plaza and pass.

9. I have two vehicles; can I use the same FASTag for both vehicles?
No, you will need to buy two separate FASTags for each vehicle.
10. What is the validity of the FASTag?
The FASTag validity is for 5 years. Once you have purchased it, you just have to recharge or top up FASTag as per your requirement. You can do this online through credit or debit card, Netbanking or UPI Apps.
