Axis Bank FASTags can be purchased both offline and online.
Offline purchase process:
Visit any of the Axis Bank branches' Point of Sale (POS) locations of toll plazas with the original and photocopies of your KYC papers. Driving your car to the POS location is necessary as a bank representative must tape the FASTag to your vehicle's windshield. You will have to pay a small joining fee against the tag and a one-time security deposit. You will need to recharge or top it up periodically according to your requirements after purchase.

It is very simple to apply for Axis Bank FASTag online.
Charges Applicable on FASTag generally includes issuance fees, a one-time security deposit that can be reimbursed when the wallet is closed, and the corresponding charges for reloading your FASTag wallet. If the tag is damaged or re-issued, your replacement tag will be charged. There is also a minimum threshold amount that must be maintained according to the class of the vehicle.

FASTag was launched by MORTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways), NHAI (National Highways Authority of India), IHMCL (Indian Highways Management Company Limited) and NPCI National Payments Corporation of India).
1. How much amount can I recharge my Axis Bank FASTag with?
If you are a non-KYC customer, you can load up to Rs.10,000 in your FASTag wallet and if you are a KYC compliant customer, you can recharge your FASTag balance with a total of Rs.1 lakh. Non-KYC customers can raise the limit to Rs.20,000 per month by upgrading their account to FASTag Lite Plan.
2. Does the Axis Bank FASTag have a validity period?
The validity of FASTag is unlimited. But the sticker comes with a 5-year guarantee. It is possible to use the same FASTag until the tag is read by the reader and not corrupted. If the reading standard depreciates due to wear and tear, please contact Axis Bank FASTag customer care for a new tag at an additional cost.
3. What are the documents needed to apply for FASTag?
You basically need to submit the Registration Certificate (RC) of the vehicle & the FASTag Application form. KYC documents as requested by the bank should also be submitted.
4. Is there any discount or cashback on toll payments using Axis Bank FASTag?
Axis Bank offers 10% cashback on all toll payments made through FASTag for the first year across India. The cashback amount will be credited back in the wallet linked to the account on a monthly basis.
5. How will I get to know how much toll has been debited from my account?
Axis Bank will promptly send you an SMS with the transaction details on your registered mobile number as soon as the toll transaction takes place. You can also get periodic statements of the transactions from the online portal.
6. Can I avail a monthly pass?
Yes, a monthly pass is very useful for frequent travellers. Monthly passes and the facility is specific to each toll plaza. You are requested to contact the respective toll plaza for more details. You can also get details through the NHAI website
