According to RBI instructions, all International debit cards have been issued with EMV chip and Pin from 15.11.2013. International debit cards which were issued before 15.11.2013 have reduced withdrawal limit.

Charges on Debit Cards :

With all benefits that come with debit cards, there are also a few charges for the services offered.

The charges on MasterCard Titanium EMV, MasterCard Gold, Maestro Visa Classic EMV, Visa Classic magnetic stripe, RuPay Classic EMV, and RuPay Classic magnetic stripe issued on 31st March 2016 is 150 + GST. The charges for cards issued after 1st April 2016 are Rs 200 + GST.

Charges on RuPay Platinum EMV, RuPay Platinum magnetic stripe, Visa Platinum magnetic stripe, Visa Platinum EMV, MasterCard Platinum magnetic stripe are Rs 150+ GST for cards issued by 31st March 2016 and 200 +GST for cards issued from 1st April 2016 onwards. MasterCard World EMV will have quarterly charges of Rs100/-
