How to register for Punjab National Bank Net Banking?

Online Registration: Customers can avail Retail Internet Banking facility by registering online using debit card credentials.

  • Visit http://www.netpnb.com
  • On Home Page, Click on ‘Register Here’
  • Enter Account Number & Select Registration Type
  • Select Type of facility - View Only or View & Transaction Both
  • Click on “Verify”
  • You will receive an OTP on your Registered Mobile Number. Enter it in the “One Time Password” field.
  • After verification of OTP, enter account details/ ATM credentials
  • You have to set a security question for your account safety. Select 7 Security questions out of 50 questions and Click on Register”.
  • You will be asked to select one image and write the phrase and “Submit”.
  • Upon successful validation of the details, you will be asked to set your passwords
  • Once you receive the process successful message, your User ID will be enabled immediately

Through ATM- You can register through any of the PNB ATMs.

Through branch – Customers should submit request form No. PNB -1063 to register for Net Banking. This form is available at the branch or can be downloaded from the bank’s website

Security Safeguards prescribed by PNB for a Safe & Secure Net Banking experience:

  • Never reveal your password(s) over phone, mail, etc. to any person including Bank.
  • Keep changing your password frequently. An alert on your Home page shows the expiry periods for your passwords, the moment you log in. Make sure to change it before the expiry date.
  • Do not click on suspicious website links/attachments in emails from unknown sources. If you click on these links unknowingly, your computer is compromised giving complete access to the hackers.
  • Banks have been sending repeated emails and SMSs reassuring customers that banks will never call and ask for any passwords, CVVs, or OTPs. Neither will they send you an email asking you to click on a particular link to carry out a transaction.
  • Make sure that you are logging in to an authentic, secure web page of the bank to access your Netbanking account. In case of doubt, reconfirm the PNB’s website by double-clicking the “padlock” symbol/icon at the bottom right of the web page to ensure the site is running in secure mode before you input any confidential/sensitive information.

1. How can I add multiple accounts under the same login?

Accounts maintained by you in any of the PNB branches can be attached to your existing Internet Banking Services. You may submit your request at the branch where you have an account. Standard format for this request is also available on the login page under "Add more Accounts".

2. Can I download the account statement on my PC?

Yes, you can save the account information downloaded through Internet Banking on your PC.

3. What are the charges for PNB Net Banking?

PNB Net Banking services are currently available for free. However, services charges as levied for transfer to other accounts (within Bank or other banks) would be charged as applicable. Banks will not charge anything for payment towards services availed over the Internet. However, Service providers may levy charges.

4. Will I get alerts for transactions done on Internet Banking?

Yes, if you have registered for an SMS Alert facility, you will get SMS alerts for all transactions done using Internet Banking.

5. Can I transfer funds to Loan Accounts?

Online transfer of funds to loan accounts is currently not available.
